Has your mind ever gone into Auto Pilot mode?

I was talking to someone and wasn't the least bit interested in the conversation so I left.
Not physically.
I was still talking but I wasn't there. And of course, when you leave like that your brain forgets to lie and you come back and are knee deep in shit because you offended the person.
I hate that. I don't even realize I'm doing it until the damage is done.
Anyway, I was just sayin... I don't even like jelly.
